It has a mixture of patterns in clear and black layers which is how it received its name. Holding a piece up to the light will allow it to reveal its beautiful patterns. No two pieces are alike. Some will have inclusions of other types of Obsidian, such as, Mahogany. It has the same basic properties as Black Obsidian, but vibrates at a higher level and has stronger protective qualities.
