Crystals for Year of the Fire Horse

Chinese New Year on February 17 marks the start of the Year of the Fire Horse. The Horse symbolizes grace, beauty, freedom, strength, and wisdom.

Chinese New Year on February 17 marks the start of the Year of the Fire Horse. The Horse symbolizes grace, beauty, freedom, strength, and wisdom. This year is excellent for new beginnings and positive changes by moving forward with fire, passion and wisdom.

There are crystals we can work with in the year of the fire horse to help us move forward, which are:

Obsidian – is a two-fold crystal. It was formed by quickly cooling lava and carries its fiery energy. It will soak up any negative energy like a vacuum, keeping the environment clean and clear. It is also a grounding crystal which you can use when things need to slow down a bit and to keep your feet firmly on the ground. You could also use Black Tourmaline as a separate crystal for the grounding aspect.

 
Sunstone – bring in joy and happiness. It is a very light, happy stone and shines its beautiful light where you need it.

 
Carnelian – encourages creativity, fertility in all areas of our life, warmth and love.

 
Garnet – or you could also use Fire Opal, helps you go forward with courage, strength and passion.

 
Citrine – a manifesting crystal, helps with any manifesting you may need/want with any new beginnings.

 
Sometimes we need to get out of the fiery energy for a bit and cool things down. The following crystals can help:

 
Aquamarine – a water crystal, is perfect for that. Its watery energy allows for cool thought and flowing energy. 

Blue Lace Agate and Blue Chalcedony - peace, relaxation, calming energy.

 
If you find yourself feeling a bit out of focus with this strong energy, use Clear Quartz to help bring your focus back.

 
To work with these crystals or the crystals of your choice, wear them, carry them, place in a crystal grid, place on your desk or altar. Place Black Tourmaline where you feel the need for protection and/or at the entrance to your space.
