This is a very interesting and unusual piece. Certainly a conversation piece. When I bought it, they called it Yellow Amethyst, but I suspect it is either what they call bi-coloured or a type of Green Amethyst. Some of the Uruguan Green Amethyst looks quite different from that of Brazilian. The bottom of the piece, eith the exception of a smallarea, has been polished giving it a nice finish.
